Wellllll, I don't know if I would go so far as to draw that analogy. I didn't
respond to the original post because there was some confusing info in it, but
the Audi GT Coupe and the Audi Quattro Turbo Coupe (ur-Quattro) share one or
two design cues ;-)

John ... the GT Coupe and the ur-Q look very similar. The major feature that
catches my attention is the box flares at the wheel wells. If the car you
saw did have a "quattro" sticker on the back (and in the rear quarter windows)
you probably did see an ur-Q. Most ur-Qs also have a sticker with the four
Audi rings on the doors. I think that the rear spoiler is bigger, and you'll
notice a difference in the air dam. Now ... if you saw diagonal slots running
at the edges of the hood and a decidedly shorter wheelbase then you saw a
Quattro Sport, which is a rare bird. I have never seen a road-going version
of that car. It is hard for me to quantify exactly what it is, but even
though I like the styling of the Coupe GT, the ur-Q always seems to evake a
more visceral response for me.
