PS. Turning on the inside courtesy light is also a nice, and and well 
appreciated touch. So long as it doesnt involve any movements that even 
remotely resemble reaching for a gun.   I've recieved far 
less tickets and far more polite warnings since I adopted 
the "keep the nice officer as relaxed and comfortable as 
possible techniques".  Trust me, Ive had WAY too much 
experience.
