S4/S6 Questions

I was at the Audi dealer yesterday to pick up a door handle for my
'87 5000TQ and I saw an S4 and an S6 on the lot. The S4 was a '93 with
5000 miles on it. Took it for a test drive on deserted winding roads.
Nice! But the handling was not as good as it should be because the car
had Pirelli 210 snows on it. The salesman quoted $36K for the car. Is
this a fair price? He claimed that the 93 S4 is rated at 238 HP (vs the
227 for 92) but Audi doesn't advertise this because they didn't want to
go through recertification for the engine again. Does this make sense?

The S6 I saw was a brand new '95 with a list of $46,500. The salesman
claimed that this is the last year Audi will be selling the S6, i.e.,
they are discontiuning it. Is this true?
