Re: S4/S6 Questions
I have a '92 S4. This is the first time I have heard of any engine changes
from '92 to '95. There are definitely suspension changes on the cars,
however. The '92 had a 28-29mm front antiroll bar and a rear antiroll. The
'93-'94 S4 had 26-27mm front antiroll bar and no rear bar. The '92, also,
had stiffer shocks and springs. There were so many complaints from the '92
USA S4 owners that Audi America decided to essentially put the 100 QCS
suspension in the car with 1mm larger front antiroll bar. Eibach springs
and an ABT suspension are available for the S4. I put the ABT suspension in
my car. But it lowered the car about 2 inches and was to harsh with my big
front anitroll bar so I took it out. I moved from Portland Or. to the San
Francisco Bay Area and immediately put a '94 suspension in my car for
driveablity on some of the poor roads here.
In my opinion $36,000 is an OK price for the car. It does have very low
mileage. Hope this helps.
