'76 100LS owner wants to hear kind words...

Hello,

I've been watching this list for about a week (and thumbing through the 
archives), and have yet to come across mention of older (pre-5k) Audis. 
Such as my '76 100LS, about which nobody in my corner of the real.world 
seems to have anything nice to say.

It really is a nice car, although it hasn't run since I obtained it 
(rescued it from abandonment.) Well, it has run for about a week, but 
cries out for mechanical attention with every passing mile.

So to the point: If someone were to say, "Hey dude, great car!" then I 
might be able to turn wrench with greater fondness. If, however, the 
inhabitants of this fine list take sides with the previous owner, perhaps 
I would be spared some thankless hours.
