Psssstttt.... Should I tell him that you need to disconect the tie rod to
sterring rack carrier? Nah! I'll let him find out on his own.
DO NOT try to buzz off the two bolts that hold on the tie rod to rack
carrier without first removing the lock nuts on the bolts (From the Bottom)
then you need to buzz the bolts out with a air gun, Audi decide to thread the
rack end.
You will also need to remove the front engine snubber horseshoe (On the
back of the bumper by the timing belt cover. If you don't you can't get the
tranny out (Even after you have disconnected the rack!)
Also make sure that you have 2 or 3 of the CV bolt tools.
In the almost 400,000 miles that I hade my coupe (Just sold it yesterday)
I had to do 2 clutch's (The first replacement was defective) the first one
took about 8 hours the second one took about 2 1/2 hours.
