Re: DISC: Options about ads on the quattro net
I don't think that regularly posted ads are desirable.
If there is a lot of interest, I would suggest that each vendor
set up a mailing list of their own and mail it out that way.
We can also have a file listing brokers on the net, for people
who want to get in contact with them.
If we allow one broker to post Audis for sale, more will come,
along with a barrage of Toyotas, Hondas and Chevys ('just thought
you might be interested...creampuff'). While I am interested to
see what prices Audis are going for (as in Glen's Audiwatch),
I don't think we need to see ads all the time.
I suppose we could allow them on at first and see how it goes, but
it would be hard or impossbile to stop it later. As far as setting up
another list just for vendors...no! Of course, they are welcome to
call ANS and purchase the turnkey ANSInterServ internet server,
and then I would get paid to run the list for them :).
If individuals find interesting Audis for sale, by all means post them.
Likewise, if you are looking, let us know.
