Mine is the opposite:
I have left the center muffler in place, but replaced the rear muffler 
with a section of straight pipe.  I like it, but it's starting to get a 
bit loud for long trips to out of state autocrosses.  I'm going to have a 
shop custom bend a 2.25" one-muffler system for me soon.
