Re: bypassing autocheck circuit

Yesterday, I posted a note seeking advice on how to either modify or bypass
the autocheck circuit of my '87 5000s so the burned-out bulb display is not
always lit now that I've installed a pair of relays for the headlights.

Since then, I've studied the schematics in my Bentley and hit upon an idea:
splice into the sidemarker wiring so the lamp control unit sees these bulbs
instead of the headlights. This shouldn't be too difficult (they're run in
the same harness) and certainly easy enough to try ... comments anyone?
