is the primary reason for Stainless steel exhausts, and coated 
manifolds.  This extra velocity is what gives the increased 
performance.  If you have to increase the coolong capability after 
shutdown, well then taht is just the price of performance.

Oh, sure change the object of the game.....  Yes you're right on graydon, but
the post was for reduced underhood heat (and me thinks at shutdown), and for
that, no!!!!  But I would say that the coatings need to have sump and some
serious heat dump when you shut down the car, cuz the side effects of thermal
barriers on a running car is thermal insluation on a shutoff car....
