Re: Cam cover gaskets



I have seen both kinds of gaskets too Eric ... I think either is "correct."
The cork gasket was typical dealer issue for cars w/o hyd tappets, where
the gaskets were replaced regularly.  My '88 5k has one of the all rubber
jobbees [sorry to get technical] and I'm thinking that this is intended to 
be a longer life part since you shouldn't need to remove the valve cover 
[except to replace the tappets!].  I'm planning on using the all rubber one 
on the QTC next time I do the valves ....
