This comment was made in passing.  Is everybody aware that there is an
Audi Tech Note that describes how to install a non-FI sytle fuel filter
in the vacuum line to the AC control head to prevent this type of damage?
I don't remember if I read it in the Bentley or the Tech Bulletins.  Let
me know if anyone needs more info.  I installed the thing in my '88, it's
a pretty simple procedure.  So far there is no oil in the filter, and my
Climate Control works fine ...
