you sure about that?  places like m*das?  that weld everything together so
you can't disassemble the system without a torch?

personal op:  Some manufacturers (Audi & adnoH come to mind) have a lifetime
replacement policy for replacement mufflers (that is, you buy the first
replacement, they pick up any future ones).  While you might pay more, at
least the systems from the dealer were designed for the car, and for most
street use, you're not likely to find more effective aftermarket systems.
