If I'm the Ned you're looking for, then this reply's about a month late..
sorry about that.  Sounds like fuel delivery for the lack of power.

I'd check (in ascending order of cost, probability & difficulty..what's the
chance of that happening?) for an in line filter in the cis fitting on the
side of the fuel distributor (the other end of the hose that connects to
this fitting is connected to the fuel filter outlet), the fuel filter, the
fuel pump delivery rate, then the oxs sensor.

5 cranks to start?  Might be a vacuum leak at the dipstick or the big
crankcase ventilation hose at the left rear of the block.

Hope this is redundant by now.
