Re: Skunk odor



Just got my August 95 issue of Popular Science yesterday and on page 25
there is an article for a skunk antidote.  

  1 quart of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide
  1/4 cup of baking soda

  1 teaspoon of liquid soap.

  It was applied to a house pet (cat) and rinsed with tap-water.  Only 
warning was that there is no way to store the stuff.  "If you put the
ingredients in a bottle, the whole thing would explode", says Paul Krebaum,
the chemist sited in the article.

  Not sure what this stuff does to a car paint.  I'd try it on a Chevette
first. ;-)
