More bad luck....now it's the Delta radio...

Well, after finding a dent on the side of the front bumper cover.

I found the radio is now dead...dead...dead.

The radio was working fine and then it was cutting out as at certain spots
during the travvel of the volume control, almost sounded like a bad potential-
meter. So I took the thing out, squirt some switch cleaner spray near the
volume pot. Problem remained....then after a few more tried of turning on
and off, now the thing is dead...nothing...not display ...not sound.

The fuse is good, (yes, I checked :)...and there is power to the radio, I'll
check again :).

The simple question is, I recall there is a place to send the thing in for
an exchange or something, is that true ? or do I have to do that thru my
least favorite Audi dealer...??

I guess I'm having one of those days you thought you could make things work
but ending up costing more money and trouble...:(.

Oh...I do have the code to the radio and it's the correct code, besides, the
thing won't even turn on. I suspect a bad on/off switch on the volume pot.
Otherwise, the thing works fine.

Does Blaunpunkt (sp??) make the Delta radio for Audi ? Any other radio
works with the current connectors and diversity antenna, and the display on
the dash ??

Guess, I would wait a couple of days before I touch my wife's car....
on second thought...maybe stay from my wife for a while too....:)
