As an addition to Bob's question......does anybody know if the Oregon DMV 
(and more importantly, officers) allow you to replace the standard issue 
front plate with a cosmetic (read german style) license plate, if you put 
the proper number/letter combination on it and display your DEQ tags on it?

I need to replace my missing front plate, and think that the long white 
plates look so much better on our cars.
