James, your experience with the front brakes on your TQC sound quite
*abnormal* to me. You should be able to get 20K out of a set of pads with
little to no appreciable rotor wear, even with aggressive street driving. I'm
assuming that the rotors you use are OEM quality and thickness? What pads are
you using? What's the mileage and overall condition of the car? It sounds a
bit like your calipers are hanging up, that would explain the heat warpage
and pad wear. Did your mechanic check this when he R&R'd the brakes? Are the
back brakes doing their job properly?
