Can't help you with the non Audi bearings. But the lastest issue of
European Car has an article on replacing the 4000Q wheel bearings. (good
timing) They mention a tool that allows the owner( er, I mean well trained
Audi professional mechanic. Aren't we all getting to that point out of
sheer practice.) to replace the bearings with the struts in place. The
article claims that a good mechanic could do each corner in 20 minutes.
just a rabid reader of European Car. I read it for the commercials.
