Thanks so much for the info. My local NTW was clueless. I'm going to give
the 195/55/14s a chance. One of the other tire dealeres here, Direct Tire,
will let me try the tire out and if I don't like it, they'll just give me my
money back. In fact, when you add up all the costs, DT is competitive with
mail order prices. Can't beat that! I never thought that I could fit a
tire like the Dunlop 8000 to my Coupe GT without upgrading wheel size but a
1.3% difference sounds like a rounding error.
Before I put on the Dunlop 8000, does anyone have any experience with it
(e.g. type of performance in wet, dry, quality of ride, noise) ? I heard it
was reviewed in a European car magazine a few months ago. Does anyone have
a copy of the issue?
