Glen, you mentioned that your fuel distributor and warm up
regulator were trashed when your fuel pump failed. What
exactly was it that trashed them? Debris? I would think the
filter should prevent this. Over pressure? I wouldn't have
guessed the normal failure mode for a pump to be over
pressurization. Do you know what caused the high pressure?

Maybe it was just the Audi "one failure at a time is never
enough" syndrome.
