You know, if the manufacturers were left alone and permitted
to use some of the new high-tech stuff to simplify things and
actually reduce costs, then perhaps some of the older cars
on the road could be replaced with new, clean cars that
would not otherwise be affordable to the prospective buyer.
Escalating costs of new EPA requirements only puts new,
clean cars further out of financial reach and helps to
perpetuate the"old smokies."
