Y A4 Not A6?

As I understand it:

A4 -- about $5K - $6K cheaper than A6.

A6 has been out a while (I have one...)

The A4 should be a little smaller (Audi 90 replacement?)

Why such a fuss?  My keyboard is soggy from all the droolin' going on
here!  Is it more than price and a little size?  

I'm mostly curious about the overall silence on A6s...
