It will get dangerously worse if your engine died at speed.

That might be just luck, but maybe if you try replacing fluid and bleed the
system, it might do better.

You're feeling the individual pressure pulses from the pumping action of
the hydrl. pump (it's got pistons in it). You feel them because there's
not enough operating pressure/reserve to "buffer" them.
