radiator repair
Hey guys,
This evening the top plastic pipe on 85' 5000s radiator
snapped into half so the upper radiator hose came completely
off
That is amazing!!
I've been with this list for a few weeks and almost ALL of the problems
with my 5000S have been reported /discussed . Are there mysterious forces at
work here ... planed obsolescence ... hexing ... consistency ???
I fixed the radiator (same exact place) with a product called PC-7 ( an
EPOXY ) so far it's held up great but it sounds like the plastic itself is
being "attacked" and so any patch is bound to be temporary. the epoxy cost
$5 so I get to delay the expense of putting in the copper job which was
debated and discussed thoroughly down to thermostats and operating temp.
Which brings me to two more questions:
1. how do I get to read previous posts /where do I get the archives??
2. Has anyone ever seen this one... I am leaking oil (?) through a sensor
located at the bottom front of the engine, on the left side. There are two
sensors located, over and under, smaller white one higher, larger black one
lower. The lower one is actually leaking though the body ,where the
electrical contact emanates
soooo My question is what is this sensor (I haven't gotten a Bentley manual
yet) .
I figured out BTW there are a few others I haven't.
I found a Bentley for the 4000 (1985) but I can't locate one for the 5000
Could any one out there get one ???
