A weird thing happened to me as well.  I came home for lunch, parked it 
in the garage.  I came out and noticed the puddle under the car.  My 
problem was a seemingly small crack in the expansion tank.  I had been 
loosing a little fluid every now and then, but never any massive amounts 
until *that* time.  Luckily, I had a spare one in the garage (go figure), 
and everything is fine.  Drove it 300 miles to an autocross on Sunday, 
and no leaks at all. 

Check the tank *very* carefully, as it was difficult to see where the 
fluid was coming from.  Mine cracked in the front, BTW.
