Re: HOLD THE REPAIRS-Let's have fun

Hmmm.... highlights....

1) Shortly after buying our '87 4kCSQ (about 3 years ago) we had a
nice amount of snow fall in N. Iowa. I was able to experience
what the Quattro was really capable of doing in a local discount
store parking lot at about 11pm.... YAHOO!!! It went through
about 8-9 of snow like a dream, and it was mighty fun to take some
quick turns in a wide open parking lot! SNOW FLYING EVERYWHERE...
Ahhhhh.... there are SOME things I like about winter! ;)

2.) Aquiring our '93 S4 -last July. It took six months for us to
locate one that was NOT black (got a pearl white one w/ ecru
leather). Anyway, about a month and a half after getting the S4,
I found myself at a stoplight next to a few teenaged punks in what
they thought to be a "hot rod" droF pickup with side pipes etc...
they kept inching forward and revving the engine until the light
turned green. I pegged the tach at just about 4 grand and slid my
foot off the clutch pedal... (this was the first time I had done
this, and it REALLY caught me by surprise), the S4 lurched and
began to accelerate like a banshee straight outta hell! ;) I was
in second gear almost immediately, and then the boost really hit
and I screamed past the truck so fast the I could hardly keep from
laughing out loud!! ;) I found myself at another stoplight a few
miles later right next to them again... but this time they
wouldn't "bite". ;) Ohhhhh.... I love the S4! :) :) :) It
might get even more fun next spring if put some of Ned's goodies
into it. ;)

Oh yeah... #1 BUMMER.... the day AFTER we got the 4kCSQ, our
neighbor across the street backed into the left rear door!!
ARRRGH! (He is a quadriplegic <sp?> that drives a van and just
didn't see our Audi in the street... <sigh> At least it wasn't a
major CrUnCh, just the door sleeve and some rubber moldings. :P

Ok... who's next?? ;)
