Rocker Panel Damage (serious?)

I've been looking at at 91 QCoupe for a couple of weeks and have a
question regarding the structure of the car.

There is a dent about 10 inches long and about an inch or 2 deep
in the rocker panel in front of the rear wheel well; it's as though the car
had bottomed on a concrete parking lot thingamajig (sp?).
The mechanic inspecting it for me didn't seem concerned.
Beside using it as a price bargainig point, should I be concerned?
Is the body a unitized piece or frame and body?
