Worst Car Screw Up

What is your worst mechanical problem? Mine takes the idiot case. Though I
can’t change my own oil, I love messing with car stereos. So I did. Tapped
thick gauge wire straight off the battery to run it all the way to the amps
in the trunk of my 86 GT Coupe. OF course, when it came time for the smog
test, it wouldn’t pass. Tony, the world’s greatest mechanic, was puzzled. He
pulled out the ECU. I was there for this. As the car idled, I moved the ECU.
As I moved it, the engine idle became erratic. Turns out that when I DRILLED
INTO THE FIREWALL TO PASS THE MONSTER AMP CABLE, I CUISINARTED THE WIRING
HARNESS TO THE ECU! Over 750$ in labor and a very expensive double sheilded
sensor wire, I finally passed the smog test...
