Dan, that clunking you are hearing is usually the rear
differential mounts.  The rear diff. sits on two round mounts
that flog themselves out after a while. 

You should also look at the inside lower wish bone bushings, they
too tend to flog themselves out.  In short, what you are hearing
is typical on 4kQs, but it is fixable.  Give a call if you need
to.  I have replaced all the mountings and the bushings on and
fixed the problem.
