Eurorace 2.5 liter kit...

I performed a leakdown test on my 5k this morning and discovered why the car
just recently started consuming oil at the rate of 1500 miles/qt and will be
needing a rebuild in the next few months: two of the five cylinders measured
leakdown rates greater than 10% due to worn or broken rings ... and it's got
only 130k on it, too!

Since I've ruled out a turbo conversion (too much work for a street car) but
would like to increase performance, I'm considering going with the 2.4 liter
kit sold by Eurorace. Last time I checked, the price was $1,049 and you got
a 90.5mm stroke welded crank as well as new pistons, rings and bearings. It
looks like a pretty good deal (to me, at any rate) since I haven't been able
to find anyone who is willing to try stroking a 5cyl crank (apparently, they
warp easily when welded because the throws aren't symmetrical). Factor in a
decent valve job, a cam (Eurorace? Shrick?) and some gaskets, etc. and $2500
(the upper limit of what I am willing to spend on this car) should more than
cover it, right?

Does anyone have any experience with this or any other suggestions? I'm not
in a hurry -- I figure the engine will probably run for another year or more
like this -- just looking to plan ahead. Any input will be appreciated.
