The roadways are unsafe because of the general quality of drivers out there.
Present company not included.

Ever met the nice speed differential of the clunker sitting on the fast
lane at a steadfast 56mph while the rest of the world passes by at
65-70mph.
As had been oft said here, it's not the speed it's the sudden deceleration.
