Personally I didn't do anything special when I changed from dino oil
several years ago. Stndard oil filter change, too. Although I have
changed to synthetic oil, I still follow 3mo/3k-mile change interval for
oil and filter.

Mobil 1 is pretty good for the money. SOme people swear by Amsoil or
Redline, but they're too much $$$ for my blood. I know there's an oil FAQ
floating around rec.auto.* now and then -- it has good informations on
dino and synth oil (and the tech spec among the synth oils -- but I think
they're kinda out of date?).
Oh, yeah, folks -- quit sending me that it wasn't Ford but was GM on
whatchamacallit show. I stand corrected. But personally, I think they're
the same... (: Unless you can tell me how technically superior the GM is
over the Ford (or vice versa), don't send me anymore e-mail regarding
that matter.
