When I first posted this, I left the final </> off, which should not 
make a difference, but who knows??

Bob - I consistently run my 280ZXT with Amsoil 6 months between 
changes, but change filters at 3K miles.  You can mix dino and 
synthoil, but why, unless it's an emergency and you have to add?
Just do an oil change and do it right.

The following is NOT an Amsoil commercial - 
BTW - I use Amsoil oil filters ONLY.  Take one apart, and take apart 
a standard filter, and you will be stunned at the difference in the 
filtration material.  IMO, their oil filters are significantly (.01 
level +) superior to any standard filters.

I use Amsoil in my 280 ZXT 'cuz it's my toy.  I use Mobil 1 - 15/50 in 
my wife's Audi 200T because ths oil is less expensive and I have to change 
it at regular intervals to maintain an extended warranty.  As soon at 
the warranty expires, it will go to a 6-month oil change and 3K 
filter change.  This is made possible because synthetics resist 
breakdown and viscosity loss better than conventional oils.
