Audi 100/92 ?

>>>>>>L;Spivak, Marat > INTERNET:mspivak@hyperdesk.com;Re: Info on 92 CSQW

     I have a '92 100S (Non-quattro), with the same V6 engine as yours
     (there aren't any others).>>>>>>>

I have a 92 100CSQ. I have had the throttle body, airclnr and chip conversion
done by Schaumberg Audi. 30k MILES only, but other than an a/c draiange
problem, I have had zero defects, nil, zilch from new. The a/c prob. was a pipe
which needed to be directed to take condensation awy from the condenser which
was icing.

Yes its a little sluggish (automatic), but if you use lots of throttle when its
needed, you can get reasonable take off and passing from the machine. Its
quiet, smooth and very comfortable.

Gripes: the lights re not up to their euro equivalents or the S4/S6; Needs more
bottom torque as mine only comes in at 3000 rpm and above; standard Goodyer GA
is not a good wet/snow tire, so it needs a better winter model without going to
the extent of ruining its dry handling with a noisy all winter tyre; paint
chips on the front;

But for a mix of open road, solid traffic, good/bad weather, there is nothing
to beat it, not BMW or Merc, and certainly nothing from the US. Front drive
Japanese luxo lounges are close though!!
