I have found those Scotch static stopper spray for clothes equally useful on 
cloth-eqiuipped autos. Careful about the smell of the spray, though. Some 
smells really horrible (like a rat that's is wet AND dead for several 
days) -- and you don't want that smell to get stuck in your car!
