BE CAREFUL!!!!

Here's the deal. I have been autocrossing for about 2 years, and lately
doing some open track driver's school type things for the last year. I
consider myeslf a pretty good driver (regardless of what Eric may think
:), but...

I was driving my 10 minutes to work today on Rt8 south from Cuyahoga
Falls to the University of Akron and had quite a stir. It seems that
some poor sunva b*tch was driving his little blue Chevy S-10 towards
about 3 lanes of traffic, which included myself. (read "northbound in
the southbound lane") What a thrill. He was clear over to my left, near
the concrete dividing wall that separates the north and south lanes, so
he wasn't coming *right* at me, but it's just a little scary to see two
little headlights approaching at ~50mph in *your* lane on a divided
highway that you drive to and from work on every day.

Being the responsible, and scared as hell citizen that I was, I pulled
off at the next exit and called the Po-Leece on the cell phone. The 911
guys/gals already knew about it, and I guess that was the end.

The moral of the story: Watch out!

Even though the highways are the safest roads in this country, even
exceeding the speed limits, some weirdo stuff still happens. I never
would have thought that would happen when I left for work this morning.

Things to think about:
If he's doing approximately 50mph north, and my Audi (oblig. ref.) is
going 65mph south, that's a closing speed of about 115mph. That's just
about enough time for "OHHHH Shi...", the rest wouldn't even have time to
get out.

I will quietly clean the uphosltery on the driver's side once again, a
little older, a little wiser.
