Alan:

The Amsoil line is very extensive. They manufacture many different
high-quality lubrication products (ie. oils, greases, tranny fluid etc.). As
far as the oils go, here is a brief run-down:

100% synthetics: 5w30, 10w30, 10w40, 20w50(racing oil)
Semi-synthetics (a blend): 10w40
100% synthetic Diesel: SAE30
Semi-synthetic Diesel: 15w40

They also make high-quality filters that are designed to work with the
synthetics, which trap far more/smaller dirt particles, so that you can
extend the drain intervals. The filters trap much more and smaller dirt
particles, resulting in less wear-and-tear on the engine. I've never seen
such a great combination. With most other synthetics, you are just using a
regular paper filter. They are really not that good (compared to those made
by Amsoil). And overall, I save money in the long run (the oil is about
$5.50/quart, and the filters are about $8.00, but I don't change my oil for
about 12k miles!! I change the filter at about 6k, and top off with a quart
or so then. It may sound crazy, but I also have oil analysis done, and the
oil has proven to be just fine at that point, in fact, I could go longer,
but... for peace of mind, I change it then). I could go on and on about this,
since I swear by the stuff they sell.

Here is the toll-free # - 1-800-777-8491; fax # 715-392-5225; (this is off a
brochure that I have had a while, hopefully the #'s haven't changed. If you
can't get through, E-mail me and I will get the #'s from my local
distributor.) Their products can't be bought in stores; they will have a
local distributor call you.

I highly recommend their stuff. At least definitely worth calling to get free
info on all their products.

Take care.
