Re: BE CAREFUL!, getting even?
Sorry to add to the thread, but...(and seeing how we somehow managed to
awaken Unka' Bart)---
BTW--any of you remember the movie "Duel" with (I think) Dennis Weaver and
some phantom trucker? food for thought. perhaps we should all rent it
tonite?

Maybe. remember, this guy was an errant driver--how many times have you
driven by braile? not intentionally, of course, but still... can you
honestly claim absolutely NO lapse in attention while behind the wheel of
your car?
Yes, you are more nimble, yes you can accelerate quicker, yes you can manage
the distance between you and that truck. OTOH--while you're so intent on
managing that distance in your rearview mirror, HEY--where'd that flying tire
tread come from!? And you might not decide to instantaneously stop, but
something ahead of you might, or merely slow down. Now what do you do? If
that truck is really in a hurry, I think I'd rather take it easy for a while
to let him get ahead--why keep having to look in the mirror worrying about
some dumb trucker behind you? afterall, it's bad enough worrying about them
*&^%$ REOs.

NO NO NO NO NO. Should we assume you have absolutely no responsibility to
that family? "Gee Mr/Mrs/Mstr Leveckis, but your son/husband/father seemed
to ignore that you existed for a moment..." Sorry, but I definitely DON'T
agree with you here. Call me a stick in the mud, conservative, pro-fam...
(er, let's not touch that one), but I do like going home to my wife. I think
she likes that too.
