I'm not so sure I'd call these things "knock-offs"
Though the vehicles are made in China and the plants partially belong to The
State, the "real" manufacturers are active participants in these ventures.
 Our friend Mr. Carlson can probably set us straight on all this.

There seem to be grand delusions floating about the Chinese bureaucracy about
transforming their country from a nation of bicycles into a nation of
automobiles.  I think they better figure out where they're gonna put all
those cars (what we call roads).
