good price for a '92 100CS
I would except low $20K range for such a car in this area. We bought a pristine
'92 100CS Quattro Wagon about two years ago from someone who advertised in one
of the local rags for about $30K (almost retail, but the car was perfect). The
"merky" news is the best in the area for autos, unless you want to buy a car
that has been used and abused on the streets of SF.
The '92> Audi 100 is a fairly rare beast around here. You might have better
luck trolling the dealers to see if they have picked up any 100s. If you find
one that has been on the lot for a few months, you might get a good deal. Also,
I would demand to see the previous owners service records. The dealer will lie,
and insist that the records have been lost or thrown away, but they invariably
turn up when I make them a deal point (name of ex-owner redacted, of course).
Also, I used to see lots of interesting cars advertised in the quattro
magazine.
Good Luck.
