Manuals
A few have been asking about Manuals.
The place to contact is:
Audi Product Service Publications
c/o Dyment distribution Services
P.O. Box 360740
Strongsville, OH 44136
Tel: (216) 572-0725
I've ordered several Audi manuals/service bulletins
from them in the past. Ask them to send you the
Audi Product Service Publications Catalog, it lists
all the available service and tech support literature.
(All that is available to the dealer anyway.)
Some stuff is on backorder, suck as the fiche I've been
patiently waiting for, and waiting for, for my 1990 V8.
I'll have no trouble reading the fiche, since I bought a
really nice Euro fiche reader from the local (former)
Peugeot dealer, when they went belly up. Paid $20 for the
thing...thought it would always be a glorified doorstop
until I entered AudiLand.
I would however, rather have a printed manual (wouldn't we all?),
is there any way to transfer the fiche to paper, or maybe even
to scan them into a computer compatible format for
later printing?
PS. I went almost a week without my offering to the Audi gods,
but it IS Friday the 13th, went to unlock the V8 after lunch...
and swish...the cylinder turns in the door lock, but the
doors don't unlock, the mechanism seems to have divorced
itself from the cylinder. Went to open the passenger door, it
opened, but the lock made an unholy, Exorcist corn flake crunch
sound when turned...oh well...it is the weekend, so much for
"wasting" time with recreational activities.
