I guess the "gremlins" have had a turn of conscience from the 80's SNAFU  re:
"unintended acceleration"; now they figure they must repent, and do just the
opposite!

However, these little gremlins don't realize that this is just as
dangerous.....

Seriously, sorry, can't help you here. My guess would be that somehow the
high pressure spray from the car wash (which is more powerful than your hose)
got in to the ABS wiring and caused a temporary short. Then the brakes heated
up, and dried it all out.  Has it happened since? If not, that could be it.
Just a thought.
