Re: Fog/Driving Lights

I put $40.00 55W Halogen Bosch driving lights on top of my front bumper
right next to the headlights. Wouldn't recommend it and here's why. The
mounting brackets Bosch provides curiously don't account for a bumper
cover. The bolts are only about 1.5" long (should I be using metric?
4cm) and the space from the top of the bumper cover to the meat of the
bumper is nearly half that. I had to cut holes in the bumper cover and
make my own mounting brackets out of some 6" bolts and fence post
brackets from Lowe's. Driving lights themselves are incredible. Mine
looked great on the car and did wonders for visibility. I even had a
dummy button on my console that I drilled out and put the toggle switch
into. But mounting the lights on the car is definitely more trouble than
it's worth. My two cents - Don't buy Bosch.
