Either I don't abuse the brakes enough or the cross-drilling has made a
big difference, but I've never had any problem with the MM pads melting
or adhering material to the discs with heavy street use or auto-x. Just
how much are the carbon pads? I've heard numbers like $150 US per pair
thrown around, about 2-3x the cost of MMs, or more. 2-3x cost plus heavy
disc wear doesn't sound like a cost-effective solution for the street,
IMFO.
