I've been using rain-x on my head lights for about 5 years now and I've 
never had any problem with "hot" head lights, or fog on the lenses.
I have noticed that I need to apply the product about twice as often (to 
the lights), but it really does seem to improve visibility for just a few 
pennies, especially when it is rainy. (Most of the time here in 
Portland, OR.)
I'm glad that I can finally contribute something to the list.
