There is a rather easy solution that I have found. I took a good size 
washer, and ground it down to thee ID of the spindle. Place it over the 
bearing and put it in a press... or vice (would be tough) hydraulic jack 
etc... This requires taking it out of course.... but that isnt too tough 
either.  The other is  to buy the VW tool that removes them while still 
on the car. Ita not cheap, but cheaper than buying new hubs!

If anyone has this tool.... CAN I BORROW IT!!!!!!!!! (rent?!)
