I tried that once and it does work. Its accuracy is subject to the
accurate operation of the car's O2 sensor, since that is controlling the
frequency valve. I would think of it as a quick check, rather than a
substitute for checking with a standalone meter. It shows that the system
is operating and thinks it's happy.
