Dan,

I think the US version is a couple hundred pounds heavier than the Euro 
version. It's the sum of a bunch of little differences. The catylytic
converter probably weighs 30lbs, the box sections probably weigh 50lbs
each, the US bumpers are a LOT heavier than the Euro bumpers. It all
adds up.
