Subject: Disappointed with Audi of America's customer service??!!

I am the owner of a 1992 CS100 Quattro (30K miles). In the last 3 years, I
have had many problems with my car including a stinking catalytic converter;
rotten-egg smell that does not go away. I was told by Audi of America (AoA)
that this is not a problem with the car, it's a problem with the gasoline
sold in the US!!!! (the salesman who sold me the car neglected to tell me
this). This is embarrassing.
At 30K miles, the head gasket is leaking oil!! this $40K car leaks oil at
30K miles?? the car has been in the shop for a week now and they provided me
with a little Nissan Sentra to drive! AoA refused to upgrade the car! If I
wanted to drive a Sentra, I would have had 4 of them in different colors.
My colleages at work who drive BMW's or Mercedes not only that they do not
experience such problems at 30K miles, but also when they experience
manufacturer problem, they drive alike cars!
Other problems included:
1) the on-boards diagnostic check computer has been replaced 4 times in the
last 3 years
2) the heater blows cold air intermitently; therefore it is difficult to
duplicate the proble at the dealer's
3) Poor gas mileage persists; 12-13 MPG/17-19 MPG in city and highway
respectively. When I bought the car, it was supposed to have performed in
the high teens in the city. The mechanic says there is no problem
4) Passenger side mirror motor - out of order; it took 5 weeks to get the
part!
5) Cruise control went out of order and had to be fixed
6) Slow response when trying to accelerate.
If anyone has experienced similar problems or if you know who at Audi (a
vice president or so) I should try to contact, please share.
